Sexual Freedom Parade | 07.08.22

Join thousands in the world-renowned New Orleans French Quarter on Friday July 8th 2022 for the 18th annual Sexual Freedom Parade. Experience the world’s largest celebration of human sexuality and embrace your true self.
Be proud. Be sexy.

It is an opportunity for you to show the world that Sexual Freedom matters in this country, and that discrimination based solely on sexual expression can no longer be tolerated.

There are currently many federally protected classes (race, color, religion, sex, and national origin)  included in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which was passed in 1964. Title VII does not include sexual expression as a protected class.

This means if you are non-monogamous, polyamorous, practice BDSM or run in non-traditional sex or relationship circles, you are at risk of being discriminated against when applying for work, housing, loans, new accounts, partnerships, etc. And, if you are like most people, you probably need to lead a double life, hiding elements of your personality in certain circles.

The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which would make sexual orientation or expression a protected class under Title VII, has been introduced in every Congress since 1994 except the 109th, but has never been passed.

President Obama signed an Executive Order in 2014, adding sexual orientation and gender identity protections for all federal employees, but it is still up to many state laws on whether or not employees can be discriminated by employers based on sexual orientation.

We march to show that sexual freedom needs to be protected just like religious freedom. We march to be inclusive of all forms of consensual adult sexual expression, beyond what is represented at Pride parades. We march because it’s fun! We march to make the world a better place for sex-positive people everywhere.

We invite all of you, no matter how you identify, to grab your flag and join us in New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday, July 8th, 2022. Don’t see your flag here? Send it to us and we will add it.

Enjoy DJs, live music, dancing, performances, fetish tastings, education, food, vendors and much more.
