Cardi B Speaks Out for Sexual Assault Awareness Month – The Teal Mango

Every year, April is aside a month to raise awareness of sexual assault, harassment, and abuse.

April is Sexual Abuse Awareness Month and it’s the appropriate time to reflect on what sexual assault means in our communities. It’s important that we talk about what it means, and how to prevent it.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is upon us which means we all need to keep in mind how important having these conversations are. By starting them now, it’ll allow us to get on the right track before and hopefully make our communities safer.

Survivors of sexual violence often don’t receive the support they deserve. And yet, it’s a situation that many survivors find themselves in – not being believed or cared for.

By sharing what you experience with someone safe for those first few weeks, and by accessing appropriate medical attention and counseling, you will start to heal and make peace with yourself.

Bringing out the topic loudly to the table, Cardi B, the global rapper took to her Twitter and spoke about Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Where she marked it bold, “NO means No”. Here’s everything you should know.
